Stanley Tan

With a degree in Packaging and Graphic Design from the Art Center College of Design in California, USA, Stanley joined Allied International Designers, an UK based consultancy, upon returning to Singapore. Subsequently, he was based in its London head office working on numerous branding projects for the European market. With this valuable experience, he returned to lead a design team that would win him numerous design awards in Singapore — One brand being Ice Mountain, a local drinking water packaging design that changed a whole generation of drinking habit.

In 1990, Stanley teamed up with a long time friend Saxone Woon to form Immortal. The duo quickly established Immortal Design as one of the most innovative consultancy in Singapore.

Stanley also consults for retailers in Singapore with numerous international brands and stores from fashion to lifestyle.

Stanley’s commitment to design education has led him to judging DAS design competitions. He has also served as external examiner for Singapore’s Temasek Polytechnic Design School.

The joint love for hospitality projects that he shares with his partners has helped land a number of high-profile projects through the years that include hotels and resorts, marinas and service providers.

Stanley has been a recipient of many awards including Conqueror Award, TetraPak Award, Singapore Design Awards, Donside Graphic Design Award and Singapore Star Award.
