Born and brought up in Beijing, Lin Cunzhen went on to do her Masters in System Design with a major in Graphic Design at Academy of Visual Arts, Hochschule fuer Grafik und Buchkust, Germany. She has also obtained her PhD at School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts, China.
Having worked as Designer & Design Editor, Lin has been a Lecturer at School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing since 2002.
One of Lin’s most significant assignments has been to design Standardisation Manual of the Emblem of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games where she had to oversee guidelines for colour systems and licensed products. She was instrumental in planning and design of significant applications for the Olympic Games. Lin was designated Deputy Director, Image and Look Team, Beijing Olympic Committee from 2006 to 2008. She is currently Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean at the academy.
